Seashore Ace Home & Outdoor Living marked 75 years as a Stone Harbor tradition in 2021. Opened in 1946 by Spike and Etta Fisher, Seashore Ace is now in its third generation of family ownership. Innovative product offerings and knowledge from an experienced team who provide superior customer services are hallmarks of the Fisher family legacy.
Seashore Ace was the first to bring Telescope Casual outdoor furniture, Yeti drinkware and coolers, Big Green Egg smokers, Benjamin Moore paints and much more to 7 Mile Island — and retains exclusive relationships with these high quality companies to this day.
From its humble beginnings as a small appliance and home supply store, Seashore Ace has evolved in both size and scope to offer a full selection of beach, home decor, home improvement and maintenance, and shore-themed products. Many of our brands are the most popular in their industries — from Riedel Stemware to OXO products, Rio Brands to Frankford, Lloyd Flanders Wicker to Treasure Garden Umbrellas and Festool to Benjamin Moore.
With demolition of the original building 30 years ago and subsequent construction of a new building with a 7000 square foot outdoor furniture showroom, Seashore Ace is one of the largest stores on 7 Mile Island and one of the largest family-run businesses in South Jersey. Seashore Ace is the go-to grill headquarters in the Cape May County Area, offering gas, charcoal and pellet grills. Outdoor Furniture specifically designed to last in the high-salt air environment has long been a staple we are proud to offer.
In 2000 the Fisher family made the important decision to cut ties with True Value and sign on with the Ace Hardware Corporation. This partnership has been instrumental in the success and growth of our store over the past 20 years. Since that time, Ace Hardware has become the strongest co-op in the hardware industry, allowing its stores to compete with any big box stores including Amazon. Our partnership with the Ace Hardware Corporation was an important business decision that created growth and success for our store over the past 20 years.
Most recently, with key additions to the paint department team, Seashore Ace has also become one of the most reputable paint and decorator stores in the area. We are a place where the pros shop because of our excellent customer service, product knowledge and depth of our product lines.
Our store cannot excel with product offerings alone — the backing of our high quality, experienced team is invaluable. The average year-round Seashore Ace employee stays with the company for 15 years or longer. The team takes yearly certification courses in product knowledge and service-oriented skills. Representatives from the team travel across the country for business and marketing seminars, intensive product workshops and product scouting at the country’s largest trade shows. Seashore Ace employs designated paint experts, hardware liaisons for contractors, retired plumbers, and dedicated design consultants who will travel on-site to measure and furnish your outdoor space. In addition, the team is highly trained to provide services such as key cutting, furniture reslinging and repair, and outdoor furniture shrink wrapping.
